Sneak Peek: Sustainable Marketing in the AI Era
I’m a first-generation college graduate, passionate about education and economic development. My grandmothers were adamant in telling me to “go to school and get a good job,” but I was mostly on my own in finding out what that meant. I’ve had jobs since high school, but I learned how to position my resume, work experiences, and courses to align with employers' needs while working at the SJSU Career Center. That skillset made a difference between getting a degree and creating a career.
Over the past ten years, I’ve led 400K campaigns at UC Berkeley to increase admissions to graduate programs and raised $1.4M for future students. My last position was Communications Manager for the former CEO of Intel. I’ve also worked in marketing communications at Portland State University, BlackBerry, and HP.
I understand working with large-scale and limited marketing resources, from college campuses to corporate environments. I'm passionate about using what I’ve learned in big tech and higher ed to help employer relations professionals ethically use AI to streamline content creation and staff development to support student success. This is my way of paying it forward with hopes that elevated communication strategies will reach first-gen students and positively impact employer outcomes.
Join me on July 10, July 24, and August 7 for a three-part Sustainable Marketing Communications in The AI Era series in partnership with A+. This live training will be held on Zoom from 12 - 2 PM/3-5 PM EDT. Register HERE.
